Evolution and Phylogenetics of the Javan Hawk‐Eagle Nisaetus bartelsi (Stresemann, 1924) Using Mitochondrial Data 爪哇鹰雕 Nisaetus bartelsi (Stresemann, 1924) 基于线粒体数据的演化与系统发育研究

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
This study reconstructs the phylogeny of the Javan Hawk‐Eagle (Nisaetus bartelsi) within the subfamily Aquilinae using Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian Inference algorithms on a blood sample and GenBank data. The analysis reveals that the sampled genus Nisaetus forms a monophyletic group. Furthermore, N. bartelsi occupies a sister‐taxon of N.

The Wire Is Not the Territory: Understanding Representational Drift in Olfaction With Dynamical Systems Theory

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Representational drift is a phenomenon of increasing interest in the cognitive and neural sciences. While investigations are ongoing for other sensory cortices, recent research has demonstrated the pervasiveness in which it occurs in the piriform cortex for olfaction.

Catalysing conservation: Testing behavioural spillover from wildlife‐friendly coffee in a zoo café

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract The biodiversity crisis demands effective strategies to shift human behaviour, rooted in understanding how people relate to nature and how those relationships may be cultivated to motivate conservation action. This study contributes to understanding of how conservation behaviour may catalyse the adoption of other conservation behaviours by ...
