Detecting Small Variations in Shape
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1980A method for the detection of very small differences between the shapes of two signals is presented. This method uses the normalized integrals of the signals to be compared; hence it filters the noise. After a general presentation giving an especially detailed account of the definition of equality of two shapes, the possible application fields with ...

Matching for Shape Defect Detection
1999The problem of defect detection in 2D and 3D shapes is analyzed. A shape is represented by a set of its contour, or surface, points. Mathematically, the problem is formulated as a specific matching of two sets of points, a reference one and a measured one. Modified Hausdorff distance between these two point sets is used to induce the matching. Based on

Quantum Interference and Shape Detection
2018We address the problem of shape detection in settings where large shape deformations and occlusions occur with clutter noise present. We propose a quantum model for shapes by applying the quantum path integral formulation to an existing energy model for shapes (a Bayesian-derived cost function).

Detection of skewed-symmetrical shape
Proceedings of 1st International Conference on Image Processing, 2002There is a new approach to define objects qualitatively and hierarchically by generic shapes (we call them primitives) arranged by generic relations so that a class of objects has the same description and to recognize them in a parallel and bottom-up way in the image.

Object detection using shape features
2014 IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Computing Research, 2014This study presents a method for detecting an object by using several features. Features are extracted based on the statistical distribution of points on the bitmap image of the shape. It detect the shape of an image by using geometrical features and then select the clustered of image that matched that shape from a large database.

Object Classification from Shape Detection
2019We evaluate the problem of object detection and classification based on a single model for five diverse classes. The class detection problem is implemented by enabling a method which detects the presence or absence of every shape-based model in every instance of a class. Low-level feature extraction is also performed to facilitate object categorization
