Advanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.Enhancing ultrasound transmission through an aberration layer exhibiting mismatched impedance with the surrounding medium possesses great implications in imaging and treatment. In this study, we show that a space‐coiling acoustic metamaterial with judiciously tailored structural profile can help improve impedance matching.

Shape decomposition and retrieval
, 2005 This thesis is about geometric algorithms for shape-based image retrieval. The shapes we consider are 2-D contours forming the boundaries of objects and regions of interest in an image. In order to do shape-based retrieval, we need to be able to evaluate how much two given shapes resemble each other. This is the shape matching problem.

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.
