Shape-based retrieval of video objects
IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, 2005The increasing availability of object-based video content requires new technologies for automatically extracting and matching of the low level features of arbitrarily shaped video. This paper proposes methods for shape retrieval of arbitrarily shaped video objects.

Co-transduction for Shape Retrieval
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2010In this paper, we propose a new shape/object retrieval algorithm, namely, co-transduction. The performance of a retrieval system is critically decided by the accuracy of adopted similarity measures (distances or metrics). In shape/object retrieval, ideally, intraclass objects should have smaller distances than interclass objects.

Indexed retrieval by shape appearance
7th International Conference on Image Processing and its Applications, 1999Efficient retrieval by content of visual information requires that visual content descriptors and similarity models are combined with efficient index structures. This problem is particularly challenging in the case of retrieval by shape similarity. The paper discusses retrieval by shape similarity, using local features and effective indexing.

Image retrieval by shape and texture
Pattern Recognition, 1999Abstract Effective image retrieval by content from database requires that visual image properties are used instead of textual labels to recover pictorial data. Retrieval by image similarity given a template image is particularly challenging. The difficulty is to derive a similarity measure that combines shape, grey level patterns and texture in a way
