Complex Fiedler Vectors for Shape Retrieval [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Adjacency and Laplacian matrices are popular structures to use as representations of shape graphs, because their sorted sets of eigenvalues (spectra) can be used as signatures for shape retrieval. Unfortunately, the descriptiveness of these spectra is limited, and handling graphs of different size remains a challenge.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

A Method for Content-Based Searching of 3D Model Databases

open access: yesData Science Journal, 2008
With the development of computer graphics and digitalizing technologies, 3D model databases are becoming ubiquitous. This paper presents a method for content-based searching for similar 3D models in databases.

Shape contexts enable efficient retrieval of similar shapes [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2001 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. CVPR 2001, 2005
In this paper we demonstrate that a recently introduced shape descriptor, the "shape context", can be used to quickly prune a search for similar shapes. Our representation for a shape is a discrete set of n points sampled from its internal and external contours. For each of these points, the shape context is a histogram of the relative positions of the

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

3D Point Cloud Retrieval With Bidirectional Feature Match

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In the recent decade, the development of 3D scanners brings the expansion of 3D models, which yields in the increase of demand for developing effective 3D point cloud retrieval methods using only unorganized point clouds instead of mesh data.
