Linguistic Methods of Image Division for Visual Data Security

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
This paper defines new classes of algorithms for securing and sharing visual information. Algorithms offering data protection against unauthorised access are cryptographic protocols for data sharing and splitting.

Human‐in‐the‐Loop Swarms: A Bionic Swarm Approach to Real‐World Soil Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article introduces the “Bionic Swarm,” a novel system that lowers the barriers to real‐world swarm validation by abstracting difficult hardware tasks to app‐guided human agents. We demonstrate the system's utility through the experimental validation of a geotechnical soil‐mapping swarm algorithm and show superior performance to baseline approaches

Dynamic Behavioral Profiling for User Authentication Using Binary Pressure Sequences and Grip Patterns via a Soft Stacking Ensemble

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A smartphone‐embedded fabric‐strip sensing interface captures side‐pressure sequences and grip‐position patterns for behavioral authentication. Probability‐based soft stacking integrates class‐wise predictive probabilities from multiple learners to improve verification‐style discrimination, supporting a sensor‐integrated mobile‐security framework that ...

Identifying the Service Requirements for Primary Sexual Assault Medical Care and Forensic Evidence Collection in a Remote First Nations Community

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT First Nations female sexual assault survivors in remote Northern Territory (NT) face significant barriers accessing place‐based medical care and forensic evidence collection, subsequently requiring evacuation to specialist services. Using decolonising Participatory Action Research methods, this study identified the workforce, training, and ...

Synergistic Effect on Enhanced Oil Recovery in High Salinity Carbonate Reservoirs Using a Novel PEI‐Functionalized Carbon Nanotube Nanocomposite

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Enhancing oil recovery (EOR) in mature reservoirs is hindered by high interfacial tension (IFT) and oil‐wet rock formations, especially under harsh, high‐salinity conditions. This study aims to overcome these limitations by synthesizing a novel carbon nanotube nanocomposite covalently grafted with polyethylenimine and non‐covalently ...

Dynamic hierarchical quantum information sharing protocol

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报, 2016
Quantum secret sharing (QSS) is one important branch of quantum cryptography.Based on the studies of multi-shared quantum bits,a new dynamic quantum bit sharing protocol was proposed. The participation of the shared members is hierarchical in this ...

A Data Sharing Protocol to Minimize Security and Privacy Risks of Cloud Storage in Big Data Era

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A cloud-based big data sharing system utilizes a storage facility from a cloud service provider to share data with legitimate users. In contrast to traditional solutions, cloud provider stores the shared data in the large data centers outside the trust ...

Secret sharing and duality

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2020
Abstract Secret sharing is an important building block in cryptography. All explicit secret sharing schemes which are known to have optimal complexity are multi-linear, thus are closely related to linear codes. The dual of such a linear scheme, in the sense of duality of linear codes, gives another scheme for the dual access structure.

Infinite secret sharing – Examples [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2014
Abstract. The motivation for extending secret sharing schemes to cases when either the set of players is infinite or the domain from which the secret and/or the shares are drawn is infinite or both, is similar to the case when switching to abstract probability spaces from classical combinatorial probability. It might shed new light on
