Freshwater shark attacks at Basrah, Iraq
Zoology in the Middle East, 1989Abstract Eleven, separate shark attacks on humans in freshwater are reported from Basrah, Iraq. Two attacks were fatal. The shark species involved is probably Carcharhinus leucas.
