ABSTRACT Examination of round sardinella Sardinella aurita Valenciennes, 1847 (Clupeidae) from the Gulf of Tunis (Tunisia) revealed the first local and Mediterranean record of Anthobothrium sp. 1 sensu Jensen & Bullard, 2010 (Tetraphyllidea incertae sedis, Anthobothrium).

Skeletons of swiftly swimming sharks: Three‐dimensional analysis of lamniform vertebral morphology and mineral architecture

We examined morphology, 3D arrangement, and mineral amount in cartilaginous vertebrae from four lamniform shark families (Alopiidae, Carchariidae, Cetorhinidae, and Lamnidae). We identified family‐specific mineralization trends, and regional patterning of structures along the column.

Widespread complex enameloid microstructure in teeth and rostral denticles of Cretaceous sclerorhynchoid skates (Rajiformes: †Sclerorhynchoidei)

Driven by risk: Understanding reference‐dependent preferences using simulated auto racing

Abstract Using data from over 56,000 simulated auto races worldwide, we analyze risk‐taking at the margins, consistent with reference‐dependent preferences. We show that participants' risk‐taking changes when a desired intermittent outcome is presented, sometimes at the expense of a more favorable expected end state.
