On sharpening of an inequality of Turán
Let P(z) = ?nv=0 avzv be a polynomial of degree n. Then as a generalization of a well-known result of Tur?n [18], it was proved by Govil [5] that if P(z) is a polynomial of degree n having all its zeros in |z| ? K, K ? 1, then (0.1) max |z|=1 |P'(z)|? n/1+Kn max |z|=1 |P(z)|. In this paper, we prove a polar derivative generalization of this

Ultra‐narrow green multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters have been developed by linear π‐extension strategy using tetracyclic naphtho[2,3‐b]benzofuran unit. The resulting phosphorescence‐sensitized OLEDs achieve a maximum external quantum efficiency of 37.7% in the bottom‐emitting architecture, while the complementary top ...

Parallel Plasma Field Directed Sputter Sharpening of Field Emitters [PDF]
Many of the current methods to sharpen field emitters are time consuming and can only process one field emitter at a time. In this thesis, a method is proposed to parallel process multiple field emitters using a DC glow discharge plasma as the ion source

Sharpening the Microtome Knife [PDF]
SEVERAL articles have been written on the most suitable method of sharpening the knife of a microtome. The usual manner of sharpening is grinding, honing, polishing and stropping, and there are several different methods for each of those operations. There is obviously a lack of a quantitative measuring method by means of which the result of different ...

Keratin recovered from animal‐hair textile waste is fractionated and blended with cellulose to produce continuously spun hybrid fibers. Selecting the high‐molecular‐weight keratin fraction enables 30 wt.% keratin incorporation while maintaining high strength in dry and wet states.

Sharpening of graded diamond grinding wheels
Grinding the flutes of cemented carbide end mill cutters results in high and uneven radial wear of the grinding wheel. This is a consequence of the varying geometrical contact conditions over the grinding wheel width.

An Alhagi maurorum inspired hierarchical composite membrane (NFCu) was developed by integrating heavy metal remediation and solar‐driven interfacial evaporation in a single platform. Beyond the photothermal effect, a localized photocatalytic process is realized on the CuO surface, deepening the mechanistic understanding of light–matter–water ...

Optimal Sharpening of Compensated Comb Decimation Filters: Analysis and Design
Comb filters are a class of low-complexity filters especially useful for multistage decimation processes. However, the magnitude response of comb filters presents a droop in the passband region and low stopband attenuation, which is undesirable in many ...

An Adaptive Inhibitory WSe2 Transistor for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Image Processing
Conventional retinomorphic devices typically require deliberate gate‐bias tuning for each illumination condition. In this paper, we demonstrate an adaptive inhibitory WSe2 transistor that uses photo‐induced regime shift between the subthreshold and accumulation modes to achieve decision‐free, intensity‐adaptive image processing within a single pixel ...
