Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Transfer Printing and Reconfiguration of Soft Electronics Using Digital Microfluidics and Laser Machining

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a digital microfluidics‐based technique for transferring and reconfiguring soft nanomembranes. Laser‐machined nanothin membranes are picked up, transported, and aligned via tailored surface tension and the actuation of water droplets, enabling the development of flexible electronics, the integration of functional materials on 3D ...

Experimental study on shear wave velocity of sand-gravel mixtures considering the effect of gravel content

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
Sand-gravel mixtures are special engineering geological materials between soils and fractured rocks. This study performs a series of bending element tests to systematically investigate the shear wave velocity (Vs) of the sand-gravel mixtures, establish ...

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

Research on the interpretation method of channel waves for various abnormal bodies in geologically transparent working faces

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
The transparency of mine geology is a new requirement for safe and efficient mining of coal mines. For working faces with complex geological conditions, channel wave detection technology is one of the commonly used geophysical prospecting methods.

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Enhancing the CPT correlation with the small strain shear stiffness of sands

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2017
The cone penetration test (CPT) is a valuable geotechnical insitu test. Yet, the CPT correlations with the small strain shear modulus and seismic shear wave velocity still need more research to enhance their accuracy.

Spectra of mantle shear wave velocity structure [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 1992
We applied the stochastic method of Gudmundsson, Davies & Clayton (1990) (which was applied to ISC P-wave data) to teleseismic ISC S-wave data to obtain an independent estimate of mantle structure. We inverted the variance of S-wave traveltime residuals of bundles of rays to obtain a description of the spectrum of lateral heterogeneity as a function of
