Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Deformation Behavior of Ti48Zr18V12Cu5Be17 Semi-Solid Amorphous Composites
In the light of increasing research into amorphous composites and their applications, as-cast specimens of multicomponent Ti48Zr18V12Cu5Be17 amorphous composites were prepared via water-cooled copper mold suction casting.

Transient shear banding in time-dependent fluids [PDF]
We study the dynamics of shear-band formation and evolution using a simple rheological model. The description couples the local structure and viscosity to the applied shear stress. We consider in detail the Couette geometry, where the model is solved iteratively with the Navier-Stokes equation to obtain the time-evolution of the local velocity and ...

Understanding of the Shear Bands in Amorphous Metals
Shear banding is an evidence of plastic instability that localizes large shear strains in a relatively thin band when a material is plastically deformed.

There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

Nanocrystalline Phase Formation inside Shear Bands of Pd-Cu-Si Metallic Glass
Pd77.5Cu6Si16.5 metallic glass was prepared by fluxing treatment and water quenching method. To avoid possible artifacts, shear bands were created by indentation after TEM sample preparation.

Modelling shear bands in a volcanic conduit: Implications for over-pressures and extrusion-rates [PDF]
Shear bands in a volcanic conduit are modelled for crystal-rich magma flow using simplified conditions to capture the fundamental behaviour of a natural system.

Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...
