Shear bond strength of a new dentin bonding restorative system

Dental Materials, 1988
Abstract A new visible light-cured composite restorative resin, Lumifor, used in conjunction with a dentin bonding agent, Gluma, has recently become commercially available in Europe. The objective of this study was to determine the shear bond strength of the restorative system to dentin.

The Effect of Fatigue on the Shear Bond Strength of Resin Bonded to Porcelain

Journal of Prosthodontics, 1993
Purpose The objective of this study was to determine whether fatigue cycling affects the shear bond strength of a resin that is initially strongly bonded to porcelain.Materials and Methods Thirty‐five disks of a feldspathic/leucite porcelain were fired on a phosphate‐bonded investment material.

Shear bond strength of techniques for bonding esthetic veneers to metal

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1999
New composites with improved qualities have been introduced to the dental profession as alternatives to porcelain. There is concern about the strength and reliability of new metal-resin bonding systems when these composites are used as esthetic veneers over metal frameworks. This in vitro study compared the shear bond strength of 2 metal-resin bonding ...

Tensile and shear bond strengths of orthodontic direct-bonding adhesives

Dental Materials, 1988
Abstract Bond strength and durability of 6 direct-bonding orthodontic cements, including 2 newly developed materials, one a 4-META/MMA resin and the other a chemically and lightcured microfilled resin, were investigated in vitro . The necessity of a sealant resin was also examined. The facial surfaces of extracted bovine teeth were ground on silicon-

Shear bond strengths of a glass ionomer for direct bonding in orthodontics

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1994
This study was undertaken to compare the shear bond strengths of mesh-backed orthodontic buttons bonded to human enamel using a glass ionomer marketed for direct bonding in orthodontics, both in conjunction with, as well as without, enamel etching and to compare the results with a no-mix composite bonding resin.

Shear bond strengths of the tenure dentin bonding systems.

American journal of dentistry, 1991
A third generation dentinal bonding system, Tenure Solution dentin bonding system, has recently become commercially available. The original system has been modified twice. The objectives of this in vitro study were to determine the shear bond strengths of the three systems to dentin 15 minutes after specimen preparation, after 24 hours storage in ...

Shear bond strength of dental amalgam bonded to dentin.

American journal of dentistry, 1991
The objective of this study was to determine the shear bond strength of dental amalgam bonded to dentin with adhesives. Four groups of 15 permanent posterior teeth were used in this study. The occlusal enamel of the teeth was removed to produce a flat dentin surface. The teeth were embedded in phenolic rings with acrylic resin.
