Shear Bond Strength of Ceramic Brackets with Two Bonding Adhesives

British Journal of Orthodontics, 1993
The shear bond strength of two adhesives (Concise® and Dyna-Plus® bonding system) with one type of ceramic bracket was determined in this study. There were statistically significant differences between the bond strengths, with Concisereg; recording higher levels than Dyna-Plus®.

An in vitro comparison of shear bond strength of zirconia to enamel using different surface treatments.

Journal of Prosthodontics, 2014
PURPOSE The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the shear bond strength of an airborne-particle abraded zirconia, an acid-etched zirconia (Piranha solution), an Alloy Primer treated zirconia, and a silaned zirconia to enamel, all bonded with a ...

Tensile and shear bond strengths of orthodontic direct-bonding adhesives

Dental Materials, 1988
Abstract Bond strength and durability of 6 direct-bonding orthodontic cements, including 2 newly developed materials, one a 4-META/MMA resin and the other a chemically and lightcured microfilled resin, were investigated in vitro . The necessity of a sealant resin was also examined. The facial surfaces of extracted bovine teeth were ground on silicon-

Shear bond strengths of a glass ionomer for direct bonding in orthodontics

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1994
This study was undertaken to compare the shear bond strengths of mesh-backed orthodontic buttons bonded to human enamel using a glass ionomer marketed for direct bonding in orthodontics, both in conjunction with, as well as without, enamel etching and to compare the results with a no-mix composite bonding resin.

Shear bond strength in repaired concrete structures

Materials and Structures, 2003
A good bond between old and new concrete is necessary for a successful repair of concrete structures. The bond is usually determined through pure tension tests, e.g., the common pull off test.
