Analysis of Treacher Collins syndrome 4‐associated mutations in Schizosaccharomyces pombe
Fission yeast models carrying Treacher Collins syndrome type 4‐associated mutations reveal that impaired processivity of RNA polymerase I leads to defective rRNA transcription. This study highlights the essential role of a conserved arginine residue in Pol I elongation and provides mechanistic insight into the pathogenesis of ribosomopathies.

Effect of different walking break strategies on superficial femoral artery endothelial function
Breaking up prolonged sitting with physical activity (PA) breaks prevents conduit artery dysfunction. However, the optimal break strategy to achieve this, in terms of the frequency or duration of PA, is not known.

Coupling Flotation Rate Constant and Viscosity Models
In a flotation process, the particle–bubble and particle–particle interactions are key factors influencing collection efficiencies. In this work, the generalized Sutherland equation collision model and the modified Dobby–Finch attachment model for ...

Polycarbonate melt shear viscosity in wide range shear rate
In our work we present an investigation of polycarbonate melt shear viscosity in wide range shear rate. In the course of our research we aggregated more testing method results and mathematically determined viscosity equation of the tested material.

Role of high shear rate in thrombosis [PDF]
Acute arterial occlusions occur in high shear rate hemodynamic conditions. Arterial thrombi are platelet-rich when examined histologically compared with red blood cells in venous thrombi. Prior studies of platelet biology were not capable of accounting for the rapid kinetics and bond strengths necessary to produce occlusive thrombus under these ...

Effect of Oxidation on Spectrophotometric and Rheological Parameters of Corn Oil
The aim of this study is the viscosity’s evolution depending on the temperature and the shear rate and the analysis of the transmittance spectra of the oxidized corn oil. Corn oil was oxidized of the temperatures of 100 °C, 110 °C, 120 °C, the periods of
