Cohesion and Shear Strength of Compacted Lunar and Martian Regolith Simulants [PDF]
Shear strength and cohesion of granular materials are important geotechnical properties that play a crucial role in the stability and behavior of lunar and Martian regolith, as well as their terrestrial analog materials. To characterize and predict shear strength and cohesion for future space missions, it is also important to understand the effects of ...

Superlubricious Surfaces Through Surface Attached Hydrogels Obtained by C,H‐insertion Crosslinking
Taking synovial joints as a source of inspiration, the friction properties of surfaces covered with 1d‐swelling polyelectrolyte hydrogels in combination with a shear‐thinning aqueous lubricant are studied. Such systems obtained by C,H insertion crosslinking show superlubricious behavior, even surpassing the friction values reported for the natural ...

High‐Speed and Scalable Wet Spinning of Graphene/Liquid Crystalline Elastomer Composite Filaments
Polydomain filaments from graphene/liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) composites are scalably‐manufactured by wet spinning across a wide range of diameters (≈137–1128 µm) at a speed up to 4500 m h−1 through a double diffusion coagulation mechanism, enabling fast actuation and optimized mechanical performance for broad applications.
