Bone Ash Impact On Soil Shear Strength
Most failures of soil have been attributed to poor shear strength. Consequently, the present paper investigated the suitability of cattle bone ash as a possible additive to improve the shear strength of soils. Four soil samples were collected and stabilized with prepared bone ash in proportions of 3%, 5%, 7%, 10%, 15% and 20% by dry weight.

The Effect of Roots on the Shear Strength of Texturally Distinct Soils
The aim of this work was to evaluate the roots influence on the shear strength of a clay soil and a sandy soil. Soil samples with and without roots were collected from experimental plantations of Atlantic Forest native species. The soil samples were then

Effects of Saturation on Shear Strength of Soils
ABSTRACT In an attempt to study effects of saturation ratio on the strength parameters of partly saturated soils, several series of triaxial compression tests were conducted on samples of silty sands to silty clay which were recovered from several sites of landslides triggered by heavy rainfalls in recent years.

Peat Soil Stabilization using Lime and Cement
This paper presents a study of the comparison between two additive Lime and Cement for treating peat soil in term of stabilization. Peat and organic soils are commonly known for their high compressibility, extremely soft, and low strength.

Effect of stabilizers on the shear strength of residual soil [PDF]
In this paper, chemical stabilizer was used for soil characteristics improvement. Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) polymer and lime is effectively used as an inexpensive and easily applied material for soil stabilization and its response performance was evaluated.
