Qihuang Needle Therapy for Motor Symptoms in Parkinson's Disease: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD) often respond incompletely to medication, highlighting the need for effective adjunctive therapies. Acupuncture may offer benefits, but high‐quality evidence for specialized techniques such as Qihuang needle therapy is lacking.

Shear wave elastography in medullary thyroid carcinoma diagnostics

open access: yes, 2015
Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a modern method for the assessment of tissue stiffness. There has been a growing interest in the use of this technique for characterizing thyroid focal lesions, including preoperative diagnostics.

Cardiac Shear Wave Elastography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This dissertation focusses on ‘shear wave elastography’, a non-invasive technique that can potentially be used for the early detection of an increased stiffness of the myocardium in people with (an increased risk on) heart failure.

Simultaneous Acquisition of Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) and Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) Optimized for Human Brain

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Increase clinical acceptance of MRE and DTI by shortening the scan time by half and providing diffusive and mechanical property maps that are inherently co‐registered. This proof‐of‐concept study evaluates the simultaneous DTI‐MRE acquisition in the human brain and compares its results to conventional DTI and MRE measurements.

Multiecho Fat‐Water Spiral MR Elastography With Distributed Encoding for Simultaneously Imaging Brain and Skull Displacement

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To introduce a novel multiecho, multishot spiral MR elastography (MRE) sequence to image brain and skull displacement simultaneously using a joint fat‐water image reconstruction and distributed motion encoding. Methods Multiple echo times were implemented into a high‐resolution multishot spiral MRE sequence to capture water‐based brain

Respiratory Motion Management in Abdominal MRI: Revisiting the Gap Between Technical Advances and Clinical Translation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The inherently slow acquisition speed of MRI makes abdominal imaging highly sensitive to respiratory motion artifacts. Since the early days of MRI, the development of respiratory motion compensation techniques has been an active research topic, and this field has seen substantial progress.

Could shear wave elastography be used as a method for monitoring tendon health, not just pathology? (Letter)

open access: yes
Dear Editor-in-Chief, Firstly, we would like to congratulate Albano, Basile [1] on their review article entitled “Shear‑wave elastography for the evaluation of tendinopathies: a systematic review and meta‑analysis”.

Head‐to‐Head Comparison of Four Ultrasound Elastography Techniques in Detecting Advanced Fibrosis

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
Elastography is an important noninvasive method for diagnosing advanced fibrosis (AF); however, evidence remains insufficient, particularly regarding acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) techniques. This prospective mulitcenter study concludes that vibration controlled transient elastography (VCTE) demonstrates superior diagnostic performance to ...

Diagnostic Impact of Two‐Dimensional Shear Wave Elastography for Liver Fibrosis: A Multicenter Retrospective Study

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
Two‐dimensional shear wave elastography demonstrated strong correlation with magnetic resonance elastography and high diagnostic accuracy for liver fibrosis across stages in 744 patients with chronic liver disease, supporting its role as a reliable non‐invasive tool for fibrosis assessment.
