Fodder beet (Beta vulgaris L.) is an important forage crop used for cattle wintering in New Zealand. Regional nitrogen (N) fertiliser experiments over two seasons (2016–2018) consisting of different N application rates (0–300 kg N/ha) and times of N application (sowing, canopy closure, and mid‐bulb development stage) were used to validate yield ...

The objective of this study was to evaluate the predictions of the small ruminant nutrition system (SRNS) for the digestibility of dietary nutrients and the energy requirements of goats in early lactation. Forty‐eight Alpine goats were assigned to a completely randomized design. During 8 weeks of lactation, six goats were slaughtered per week.

Sheep or beef cattle (cattle) share of total farm feed consumed, measured in stock units (SU) on New Zealand farms, is often adjusted depending on the profitability of each enterprise. The impact of these adjustments on whole‐farm productivity, profitability and predicted methane (CH4) output has not been recently explored. A system dynamics model of a

In Silico, In Vitro, and In Vivo Antinociceptive Potential of S‐Naproxen Derivatives
Selected naproxen derivatives were investigated for their antinociceptive effects, using in vitro (COX‐I/COX‐II antagonistic effect), in vivo (acetic acid and hot plate assay), and in silico (molecular simulation studies) approaches. The COX inhibition studies revealed that the maximum percent effect exhibited by GMO‐I‐111a 96.01 and 92% against COX‐2 ...

Thermal stress significantly alters signalling receptor abundance in the model cnidarian Exaiptasia diaphana. TRPA1, EP2 and GRIK2 increased under elevated temperatures, while EP4 remained unchanged, indicating differential thermal modulation of oxylipin‐ and glutamate‐linked pathways.
