The isogeometric (IG) Reissner–Mindlin (R–M) shell model solves the problem of shear and membrane locking that besets the finite element (FE) R–M shell model of nonthick underground structures, but still faces complicated modeling and computation ...

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).

Through Diamond Robust Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy
Thin film diamond growth offers a unique opportunity for Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS); the encapsulation of plasmonic nanostructures within a transparent, chemically stable, and physically robust coating. The diamond acts as both a window and protective layer, enabling illumination of the plasmonic nanostructures through the diamond ...

Nitrogen-14 and the Shell Model
A shell-model calculation was done of the lower lying levels of N/sup 14/ under the assumption that the C/sup 12/ nucleus forms an inert core about which two nucleons can move in lp/sub 1/2/, 2s/sub 1/2/, 1d/sub 5/2/, or 1d/sub 3/2/ orbitals. It was possib le to give shell-model assignments to practically all of the observed levels in N/sup 14/ below ...

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

Shell model calculations for some pf shell nuclei
In this proceeding, the nuclear energy levelsof the some isotopes of Cu and Ga nucleiwere investigated within the nuclearshell model. 56Ni nucleus was considered as inert core for thetheoretical application and pf single particle orbitals on this core were usedas the model space.
