Phase‐Controllable Synthesis and Property Modulation of Two‐Dimensional PAs3S3 Crystal

open access: yesSusMat, EarlyView.
For the first time, phase‐controllable synthesis of 2D inorganic molecular crystals PAs3S3 are successfully realized by kinetics‐controlled vertical microspacing sublimation method. Due to the different arrangements of molecules, the two phases exhibit distinct SHG property, intermolecular forces, and Young's modulus of the R3m phase (21.31 GPa) is 69%

Identification of Autologous Tissue Sources and Optimization of a Treatment Method for Intraoperative Manufacturing of Heart Valve Constructs

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
The use of autologous connective tissue, such as pericardium or peritoneum, combined with controlled tissue treatment, has the potential to result in a more durable heart valve prosthesis than current commercial prostheses. ABSTRACT Introduction Valvular heart disease remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Current biological and mechanical

Increased expression of inflammasome signaling genes and proteins in selective brain regions in the intermediate stage of Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Neuritic plaques increase in the intermediate stage of Alzheimer's neuropathological change. The intermediate stage of Alzheimer's disease was investigated by transcriptomics and immunohistochemistry. This revealed that inflammasome sensors NLRP1, NLRP3, and AIM2 oligomerize with ASC speck to form the inflammasome complex and initiate the downstream ...
