A Modern Roman‐Inspired Concrete with Daytime Radiative Cooling Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coolcrete, inspired by ancient Roman concrete, is a new cementitious material with photonic properties enabling passive daytime radiative cooling. Made from quicklime and zeolites, it reduces cooling energy demand, lowers CO2 emissions, and may eliminate urban heat islands.

Neuromorphic Computing with Memcapacitors: Advancements, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic computing reduces energy costs by integrating memory and processing in event‐driven architectures, achieving energy usage as low as 10–30 pJ per operation for memcapacitor‐based synapses. Memcapacitors are reviewed as strong contenders for neuromorphic computing, enhancing AI acceleration through charge‐based computations, high resistance,

Semi‐Transparent Organic Photodiodes with Near‐Infrared Detection Fabricated by Inkjet Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows the inkjet printing of semi‐transparent and opaque organic photodiodes that enable light detection in the near‐infrared regime. Their transparency and high detection speed make them ideal for applications in soft robotics, wearable devices, and light communication systems.

High Mobility and Electrostatics in GeSn Quantum Wells With SiGeSn Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates electrical transport in GeSn quantum wells with SiGeSn barriers and characterizes hole mobilities as a function of hole density. The observed mobilities are higher than previously reported for GeSn quantum wells with similar compositions but with a Ge barrier.
