Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Calculation and Analysis of TVMS Considering Profile Shifts and Surface Wear Evolution Process of Spur Gear

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering
Profile shift is a highly effective technique for optimizing the performance of spur gear transmission systems. However, tooth surface wear is inevitable during gear meshing due to inadequate lubrication and long-term operation.

Demonstration of catch bonds between an integrin and its ligand

open access: yesJournal of Cell Biology, 2009
Binding of integrins to ligands provides anchorage and signals for the cell, making them prime candidates for mechanosensing molecules. How force regulates integrin–ligand dissociation is unclear.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Poisson Approximation of Prime Divisors of Shifted Primes

open access: yesInternational Mathematics Research Notices
Abstract We develop an analog for shifted primes of the Kubilius model of prime factors of integers. We prove a total variation distance estimate for the difference between the model and actual prime factors of shifted primes, and apply it to show that the prime factors of shifted primes in disjoint sets behave like independent Poisson ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

The Hungarian governments in the decade of crises (2015–2024)

open access: yesFrontiers in Political Science
The prime minister, and thus indirectly the government, had a strong position in the Hungarian chancellor-type parliamentary system established at the time of the transition to democracy.

Oscillations of Hecke eigenvalues at shifted primes

open access: yesRevista Matemática Iberoamericana, 2006
In this paper, we are interested in exploring the cancellation of Hecke eigenvalues twisted with an exponential sums whose amplitude is \sqrt{n} at prime arguments.

On the divisors of shifted primes

open access: yesTURKISH JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICS, 2019
Summary: Let \(\tau(n)\) stand for the number of positive divisors of \(n\). Given an additive function \(f\) and a real number \(\alpha\in [0,1)\), let \(h_n(\alpha):= \frac{1}{\tau(n)} \sum\limits_{\substack{d\mid n \\ \{f(d)\}
