MKtree: generation and simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The problem to represent very complex systems has been studied by several authors, obtaining solutions based on different data structures. In this paper, a K dimensional tree (Multirresolution Kdtree, MKtree) is introduced.

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Research on release rate of volatile organic compounds in typical vessel cabin

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2018
[Objectives] Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) should be efficiently controlled in vessel cabins to ensure the crew's health and navigation safety. As an important parameter, research on release rate of VOCs in cabins is required.

Trained Memory of Uterine Macrophages Improves Subsequent Pregnancy Outcomes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that pregnancy imprints a durable, pregnancy‐specific form of trained immune memory in uterine macrophages, marked by the emergence of LILRB3+/PIR‐B+ cells that expand across gestations, acquire a tolerogenic and metabolically rewired phenotype, and actively protect against inflammatory pregnancy loss in mice.

In Situ Polyurea Integration for Self‐Healing, Durable Transparent Electromagnetic‐Interference Shielding Film

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A steric‐hindrance molecular engineering strategy uses dimethyl maleate (DMM) to convert poly(1,4‐butanediol) bis(4‐aminobenzoate) (PBDAB) into a precursor with reduced reactivity via Michael addition, thereby retarding the curing process to form a transparent, ultraflexible, and self‐healable secondary‑amine polyurea (PuSA) with a crosslinked network.

Decoding the Mechanism of Action of a Parasite TGFβ Antagonist Inspires the Creation of Cell‐Type‐Specific TGFβ Modulators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mammalian TGFβ interacts with ubiquitously expressed TGFBR1 and TGFBR2, and current TGFβ‐targeting agents are non‐cell‐selective. The cooperative interaction of the modular parasite TGFβ antagonist with multiple host (co‐)receptors empowers the design of TGM chimeras and bispecific antibodies that activate or inhibit TGFβ signaling in a cell ...

Analysis and optimization of resistance characteristics of submarine snorkel air-intake valve

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2019
[Objectives]It is important to optimize the structure of the air-intake valve for submarine snorkel and reduce air intake resistance, which is of great significance to submarine energy saving and working safety.[Methods]The CFD method is used to simulate ...
