What Do Latest CMIP6 Global Climate Models Say About Future Arctic Sea Ice Coverage Changes?
Modelling of sea ice dynamics has significantly improved between CMIP5 and CMIP6, with nearly three times as many models capturing realistic annual variability in sea ice extent (SIE). What we previously thought was a non‐linear pattern of low SIE observations in 2007–2010 that would continue throughout time now appears to be non‐record‐setting lows in

Abstract. The high-resolution ship emission inventory serves as a crucial dataset for various disciplines including atmospheric science, marine science, and environmental management. Here, we present a global high-spatiotemporal-resolution ship emission inventory at a resolution of 0.1° × 0.1° for the years 2013 and 2016–2021, generated by the state-of-

Monitoring mercury across the National Wildlife Refuge System using a biosentinel approach
We measured mercury concentrations in 1,356 dragonfly larvae collected from 30 National Wildlife Refuges across the United States and found wide variability among refuges, spanning the full range reported for other protected lands. Using a management‐focused mercury impairment index, 80% of refuges contained sites classified as moderate or higher risk.

Abstract Consistent monitoring of seawater spectrophotometric pH on the total hydrogen ion scale (pHT) has been questioned by an evolving method, with changes in parameterization and the purity of the meta‐cresol purple (mCP). Using real seawater samples, we demonstrate that spectrophotometric pHT measurements obtained with unpurified (UNPUR) and ...
