Techno‐Economic Analysis of Methanol Production From Steel Mill Gases
Chemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.A techno‐economic analysis for the synthesis of methanol from steel mill gases is carried out. Four different process concepts are defined and analyzed. The analysis yields levelized cost of methanol estimates between €1130 and €1419 t−1. Sensitivity analyses identify hydrogen production as the largest contributor to cost.
