Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Numerical simulation of motions of a ship with a moonpool in head waves
The paper shows the results of assessing the possibilities of computational fluid dynamics for predicting the motions of a ship with a moonpool and vertical water motions in a moonpool in regular head waves with a zero ship speed.

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

A CFD investigation of the effects of passing ship on a small size ice floe
A RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes) CFD STAR-CCM+ model is used to investigate the hydrodynamic interactions between a ship and a circular ice floe. The overset mesh technique is employed to simulate the advancing movement of the passing ship.

To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.

Ship roll damping via direct inverse neural network control system
Undesired roll motions of surface vessels under sea way have negative influence on passengers, crew members, equipment and cargo. Damping roll motions is a complex problem due to unpredictable and irregular nature of marine environmental disturbances ...

This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

The Motions of a Moored Ship in a Harbor Basin
In harbors affected by ocean swells, cargo handlings are often interrupted and irooring lines are broken as a result of severe ship motionsl). In order to decrease such accidents, the noored ship notions in a harbor basin must be studied. In this paper the ship notions in the harbor basin are investigated by using three dimensional Green's function and ...

Variable- and Fixed-Structure Augmented Interacting Multiple Model Algorithms for Manoeuvring Ship Tracking Based on New Ship Models [PDF]
The real-world tracking applications meet a number of difficulties caused by the presence of different kinds of uncertainty - unknown or not precisely known system model and random processes’ statistics or due to abrupt changes in the system modes of ...

The sinking of the Ro–Ro passenger ferry SS Heraklion
On December 8, 1966 the Ro–Pax ferry SS Heraklion capsized and sank in the Aegean Sea, resulting in the death of over 200 people. The present paper tries to shed some light into the various events that led to the largest tragedy of modern Greek maritime ...
