Low‐Dimensional MOF Nanoarchitectonics: Progress in MOF‐2D Material Hybrid Architectures for Energy Conversion and Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights the integration of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and two‐dimensional (2D) materials through dimensional interface engineering. By addressing intrinsic limitations like poor conductivity and agglomeration, these hybrid architectures optimize interfacial charge and mass transport.

Shipping markets and freight rates: an analysis of the Baltic Dry Index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Shipping, although a crucial component of the transportation of commodities worldwide, is hardly present in the finance literature at this point. The first and foremost goal of this paper is to describe and explain from an economic perspective the key ...

Effect of Surface‐Lubricant Compatibility on Bubble Formation in Lubricant‐Infused Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Lubricant‐infused surfaces reduce drag partly through bubbles that form when lubricant depletes. Using laser‐textured steel infused with silicone oil, we show that microbubble nucleation occurs even on surfaces fully wetted by the lubricant, regardless of chemistry.

Influence of transverse loading on the stability of a clamped rectangular plate

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Shapes of a square Kirchhoff plate with a clamped edge are obtained and analyzed, before and after losing stability in the case of a compound bending (uniform transverse loading in combination with edge compressive loading), as well as equilibrium forms ...

Lattice Structures for Bone Replacement: The Intersection of Bone Biomechanics, Lattice Design, and Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review outlines how understanding bone's biology, hierarchical architecture, and mechanical anisotropy informs the design of lattice structures that replicate bone morphology and mechanical behavior. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of orthopedic implants that incorporate such structures using a range of engineering materials ...

A duplex transform heterogeneous feature fusion network for road segmentation

open access: yesScientific Reports
Detecting roads in automatic driving environments poses a challenge due to issues such as boundary fuzziness, occlusion, and glare from light. We believe that two factors are instrumental in addressing these challenges and enhancing detection performance:

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...
