Gastric dilatation and volvulus in a capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, Linnaeus, 1766)
Veterinary Record Case Reports, EarlyView.Abstract Gastric torsion has been described in several species, but this is the first documented case in a capybara. An entire, 6‐year‐old, female capybara was found dead in the indoor enclosure of the zoo in the morning. Pathological examinations revealed a large, bloated stomach upon opening the abdominal cavity.

ANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.With the increasing use of NOAC and the availability of reversal agents, there remains sparse evidence regarding its use in POAF. The use of a NOAC in patients with POAF did not appear to increase short‐term postoperative complications, including bleeding, stroke, readmission rates and mortality, compared with warfarin.
