Ontologies for FAIR Data in Additive Manufacturing: A Use Case‐Based Evaluation
An ontology‐based approach for generating findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable data in additive manufacturing is explored, focusing on powder bed fusion. The article highlights the benefits of enhanced data findability and digital twin enablement, while addressing challenges like data integration complexity and the need for specialized ...

A Novel Simulation Approach for Damage Evolution during Tailored Forming
Traditional damage models are struggling to accurately and efficiently simulate large‐scale three‐dimensional models with a great number of degrees of freedoms. A new gradient‐enhanced damage model based on the extended Hamilton principle can significantly reduce the computation time while ensuring mesh‐independence which is suitable to use in tailored

Driving pressure is not associated with mortality in mechanically ventilated patients without ARDS
Background In patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), low tidal volume ventilation has been associated with reduced mortality. Driving pressure (tidal volume normalized to respiratory system compliance) may be an even stronger predictor

The distribution of shock waves in driven supersonic turbulence [PDF]
Supersonic turbulence generates distributions of shock waves. Here, we analyse the shock waves in three-dimensional numerical simulations of uniformly driven supersonic turbulence, with and without magnetohydrodynamics and self-gravity. We can identify the nature of the turbulence by measuring the distribution of the shock strengths.

This study explores the use of laser‐induced forward transfer in the picosecond regime to create in vitro biomodels. Focusing on hydrodynamics and rheology, it investigates jet dynamics through time‐resolved imaging, optimizing laser fluence, biological ink viscosity, and printing distance to precisely control the volume and location of bioink ...
