On the performance of rheological shock absorber models in full vehicle simulation
Vehicle System Dynamics, 2007A comparative study of the performance of three rheological automotive shock absorber models as well as of an extended force–velocity relation in full vehicle simulation is performed. Simulation results for both the shock absorber test rig and a full vehicle crossing a single obstacle are compared with measured data.

Design and performance of electric shock absorber [PDF]
The electric shock absorber is a device that converts the kinetic energy of an oscillating object into electric energy. This kinetic energy is normally dumped in a form of thermal energy in a conventional, mechanical shock absorber.

Performance Simulation of Hydraulic Energy-Regenerative Shock Absorber
Advanced Materials Research, 2013This paper presents several kinds of energy-regenerative shock absorbers, which all exist some problems. Then, we put forward a novel type of shock absorber: Hydraulic Energy-regenerative Shock Absorber (HESA). In this paper, we focus on damping characteristic and energy recovery of HESA.

Comparison of the Thermal Performance of Damaged and Intact Shock Absorber
Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology, 2013Regulatory requirements for a Type B package are specified in the Korea MEST Act 2009-37, IAEA Safety Standard Series No. TS-R-1, and US 10 CFR Part 71. These regulatory guidelines require that a Type B package for transporting radioactive materials should be able to withstand a test sequence consisting of a 9 m drop onto an unyielding surface, a 1 m ...

PERFORMANCE OF NON-LINEAR ISOLATORS AND ABSORBERS TO SHOCK EXCITATIONS
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1999To improve the performance of a non-linear shock isolator, four different alternatives are being considered and compared. These are (i) an isolator with a Coulomb damper, (ii) a three-element isolator, (iii) an isolator along with vibration absorber and (iv) a two-stage isolator.
