Research of Shock Response Spectrum on Shock Test of Rolling Stock Equipment
In order to assess product’s ability to resist impact, shock tests should be made on rolling stock equipment of railway. However, classical shock such as half-sine shock couldnot simulate the actual impact environments effectively.

The effect of physiologic dose of intravenous hydrocortisone in patients with refractory septic shock: a randomized control trial [PDF]
Objective: Septic shock is a response to infection and tissue hypoperfusion which does not respond to fluid therapy and eventually leads to organ dysfunction.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

A chemical shock tube driven by detonation
A chemical shock tube driven by a detonation driver is described in the present paper. This shock tube can produce a single controlled high-temperature pulse for studies of gas-phase reaction kinetics, but the difficulty associated with the timing for ...

High energy concentration by symmetric shock focusing
High-energy concentrations in gas are achieved experimentally in a specially constructed shock tube facility at KTH Mechanics. The high-energy concentration is manifested by a formation of a hot, light-emitting gas core.

Numerical modeling of laser-induced shock experiments for the development of the adhesion test for bonded composite materials [PDF]
In this work, laser shock experiments on composite material are modeled. Focus is made on the development of a reliable numerical model to be used for the laser shock wave adhesion test of bonded composites.

Development of the symmetrical laser shock test for weak bond inspection
Art.070030This paper presents the LAser Shock Adhesion Test (LASAT) using symmetrical laser shocks. The study is part of ComBoNDT European project that develops new Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) to assess adherence properties of bonded composite structures.

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...
