Teores críticos de fósforo em três solos para o estabelecimento de capim-Mombaça, capim-Marandu e capim-Andropogon em vasos Critical phosphorus concentrations in three soils for the establishment of Mombaçagrass, Marandugrass and Andropogongrass

Comparison of Field Crops with Tap and Fibrous Root System at Early and Late Growth Stages

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2020
Knowledge of root architecture is significant since it influences on pathways from, photosynthesis products, water and nutrient movement. This study purposed to elucidate root mass, root length, root/shoot ratio, root/total mass ratio and above-ground ...

Shoot-Look-Shoot: A Review and Extension

open access: yesOperations Research, 2004
We consider the optimal use of information in shooting at a collection of targets, generally with the object of maximizing the average number (or value) of targets killed. The shooting problem is viewed as a Markov decision process, and the modal solution technique is stochastic dynamic programming.

Shoot-root signal circuit: Phytoremediation of heavy metal contaminated soil

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2023
High concentrations of heavy metals in the environment will cause serious harm to ecosystems and human health. It is urgent to develop effective methods to control soil heavy metal pollution.

De novo shoot organogenesis during plant regeneration.

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Botany, 2019
Plants exhibit remarkable regeneration capacity, ensuring developmental plasticity. In vitro tissue culture techniques are based on the plant regeneration ability and facilitate production of new organs and even whole plant from explants.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
