ABSTRACT Lateral root (LR) organogenesis is regulated by cellular flux of auxin within pericycle cells, which depends on the membrane distribution and polar localization of auxin carrier proteins. The correct distribution of auxin carrier proteins relies on the intracellular trafficking of these proteins aided by filamentous actin as a track.

The shoot apex of Populus alba primarily comprises the shoot apical meristem, axillary meristem, leaf primordium, and young leaves, all of which exhibit high division potential. The single-cell RNA sequencing of the apical buds of P.

CLAVATA1, a regulator of meristem and flower development in Arabidopsis [PDF]
We have investigated the effects on plant development of mutations in the Arabidopsis thaliana CLAVATA1 gene. In clavata1 plants, vegetative, inflorescence and floral meristems are all enlarged relative to wild type.

PEK14: A Kinesin‐4 Necessary for Male‐Derived Fertility in Arabidopsis thaliana
ABSTRACT Of the 61 kinesins annotated in Arabidopsis thaliana, many are still without assigned function. Here, we have screened an insertional mutant library of Arabidopsis pollen‐expressed kinesins for fertility defects. Insertional mutants for three kinesins showed a significant reduction in seed set.

Functionally different PIN proteins control auxin flux during bulbil development in Agave tequilana [PDF]
In Agave tequilana, reproductive failure or inadequate flower development stimulates the formation of vegetative bulbils at the bracteoles, ensuring survival in a hostile environment.

Segmenting the sepal and shoot apical meristem of Arabidopsis thaliana [PDF]
We present methods for segmenting the sepal and shoot apical meristem of the Arabidopsis thaliana plant. We propose a mathematical morphology pipeline and a modified numerical scheme for the active contours without edges algorithm to extract the geometry and topology of plant cells imaged using confocal laser scanning microscopy.

Connective auxin transport contributes to strigolactone-mediated shoot branching control independent of the transcription factor BRC1. [PDF]
The shoot systems of plants are built by the action of the primary shoot apical meristem, established during embryogenesis. In the axil of each leaf produced by the primary meristem, secondary axillary shoot apical meristems are established.

The CLAVATA and SHOOT MERISTEMLESS loci competitively regulate meristem activity in Arabidopsis [PDF]
The CLAVATA (CLV1 and CLV3) and SHOOT MERISTEMLESS (STM) genes specifically regulate shoot meristem development in Arabidopsis. CLV and STH appear to have opposite functions: c1v1 and Clv3 mutants accumulate excess undifferentiated cells in the shoot and

Thirty years of glyphosate‐resistant crops and weeds: Current situation and future prospects
Since 1996, when the first glyphosate‐resistant crop was commercialized and the first resistant weed was reported, resistance has expanded globally. This review analyzes emergence patterns across weed species, crops, regions, resistance mechanisms, and herbicides.
