It reveals that short‐term environmental changes primarily alter space use, with limited effects on social structure.

Offshore wind farm avoidance by a discard‐feeding seabird is independent of local fishing activity
Journal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.Fishing is not allowed within wind farms; therefore, discard‐feeding seabirds may appear to avoid wind farm areas. We found that most Lesser Black‐backed Gulls avoided the wind farm area, but not each individual in each period. Avoidance of the wind farm was not driven by fishing exclusion within its perimeter.
