Bankruptcy problems with interval uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, bankruptcy situations with interval data are studied. Two classical bankruptcy rules, namely the proportional rule and the rights-egalitarian rule, are extended to the interval setting.

Flexural Behavior of 3D‐Printed Porous Bouligand‐Structured Polymers: Influence of Pitch Angle and Porosity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how helicoidal architectures with different porosities respond to bending. Adjusting layer angle and spacing in 3D‐printed polymers reveals clear tradeoffs between stiffness, strength, and energy absorption. Experiments and simulations highlight designs that distribute stress effectively, offering pathways for optimizing lightweight

Fluid coupling between the elements in a discrete model of cochlear mechanics

open access: yes, 2010
When analysing the coupled mechanics of the cochlea, due to the interaction between fluid coupling and basilar membrane motion, it is convenient to divide the cochlea longitudinally into a discrete number of sections.

Soft sensor modeling method and application based on TSECIT2FNN-LSTM

open access: yesScientific Reports
To address the issue of low accuracy in soft sensor modeling of key variables caused by multi-variable coupling and parameter sensitivity in complex processes, this paper introduces a TSK-type-based self-evolving compensatory interval type-2 fuzzy Long ...

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Multi-step reliable interval prediction of wind farm power with wake-aware spatio-temporal coupling

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Management: X
As power systems integrate increasing shares of renewable energy, ultra-short-term wind farm power forecasting is required to provide not only accurate point estimates but also calibrated uncertainty information for short-term forecasting applications ...

Exact and Asymptotic Weighted Logrank Tests for Interval Censored Data: The interval R Package [PDF]

open access: yes
For right-censored data perhaps the most commonly used tests are weighted logrank tests, such as the logrank and Wilcoxon-type tests. In this paper we review several generalizations of those weighted logrank tests to interval-censored data and present an
