Pulse short range radar

2018 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2018
The article presents a short-range pulsed radar. The response of the radar in various conditions has been received. The distortion compensation system and its effect on the result are described.

Short-range passive radar potentialities

open access: yes, 2017
The potentialities of passive radar (PR) will be illustrated in this chapter with reference to the surveillance of areas of limited extent. Despite the exploitation of the PR principle in short-range applications could appear as a simple task, it is shown that it brings a number of challenging issues that must be solved to benefit from its potential ...

Through-Wall Mapping Using a Short Range Radar

2018 IEEE SENSORS, 2018
In this paper, we show the feasibility of using an off the shelf short range automotive radar working at 24GHz frequency for through-wall mapping. For this purpose, an enclosed arena made of portable wall segments was constructed, creating various indoor wall configurations, and these were probed from the outside using the radar mounted on the top of a

Short-Range Radar Perception in Outdoor Environments

open access: yes, 2011
For mobile robots operating in outdoor environments, perception is a critical task. Construction, mining, agriculture, and planetary exploration are common examples where the presence of dust, smoke, and rain, and the change in lighting conditions can dramatically degrade conventional vision and laser sensing.

A novel short‐range anticollision radar

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1994
AbstractAn original short‐range low‐cost anticollision CW microwave sensor is based on interferometry. It produces triggering signals when a reflective surface approaches the system and reaches predefined distances. In the examples described here, these distances are between several decimeters and a few meters. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Probabilistic short range radar data fusion

International Multi-Conference on Systems, Sygnals & Devices, 2012
This paper demonstrates a system which uses two short range radar sensors and on-board kinematic sensors in order to track vehicles driving behind the ego vehicle. For that, integrated probabilistic data association and the unscented Kalman filtering framework is utilized.
