Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Simplified layered MLSE for PAM4 short-reach optical interconnects
To meet the high-speed and high-efficiency demands for optical interconnects, simplified layered maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) is proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional MLSE, simplified layered MLSE reduces the processing delay from linear order to logarithmic order through the layered architecture, while simultaneously ...

The suitability of SiGe multiple quantum well modulators for short reach DWDM optical interconnects
We describe calculations that address the suitability at using silicon-germanium multiple quantum well (MQW) modulators in dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) short reach optical interconnects that vary over a significant temperature range. Our calculations indicate that there is a tradeoff between the number of channels, the temperature range
