Fuel Resource Scheduling, Part III-The Short-Term Problem

IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1984
The paper presents a method for optimum scheduling of fuels over a few days, subject to fuel supply limits, spanning different time periods, and unit operating constraints. Constraints over mixed and shared fuels, are also considered. Results for a 17 unit/17 contract test system over a two day study period are presented and discussed.

The BC Hydro short term hydro scheduling optimization model

Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Power Industry Computer Applications. Connecting Utilities. PICA 99. To the Millennium and Beyond (Cat. No.99CH36351), 2000
The authors describe the B.C. Hydro short term optimization model that has been developed to determine the optimal hourly generation and trading schedules in a competitive power market. The model is operational and is one of the tools that are currently used by the B.C.

Short‐term harvest planning including scheduling of harvest crews

International Transactions in Operational Research, 2003
AbstractThe problem we consider is short‐term harvesting planning for a total planning period of 4–6 weeks where we want to decide the harvest sequences or schedules for harvest crews. A schedule is an order or sequence of harvest areas assigned to each crew. The harvesting of areas is planned in order to meet industrial demand. The total cost includes

Planning and Scheduling of Parallel Semicontinuous Processes. 2. Short-Term Scheduling

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 1997
In part 1 of this series, it was seen how minimum run length constraints may complicate conventional multiperiod models.

Real-time energy resources scheduling considering short-term and very short-term wind forecast

2012
This paper proposes an energy resources management methodology based on three distinct time horizons: day-ahead scheduling, hour-ahead scheduling, and real-time scheduling. In each scheduling process it is necessary the update of generation and consumption operation and of the storage and electric vehicles storage status.
