Topological Quantum Biomaterials Enable Pyroptosis‐Senescence Coupling for Enhanced Colorectal Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports conceptually unprecedented topological quantum biomaterials derived from engineered Pd3Sn nanostrips for oncological applications. Their near‐Fermi‐level electronic architecture and superior interfacial charge transport facilitate ultrasound‐amplified redox reactions and efficient ROS generation.

AI‐Designed TREM1‐Targeted LYTAC Nanoparticles Reprogram the Neuroimmune Microenvironment in Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AI‐enabled de novo design of a TREM1 binder, integrated into a BBB‐crossing and macrophage‐targeted nanoplatform, enables TREM1 degradation and attenuates neuroinflammation, thereby promoting neuroprotection and tissue repair after traumatic brain injury. ABSTRACT Secondary neuroinflammation drives progressive damage after traumatic brain injury (TBI),

Targeting Macrophage‐Mediated Lymphatic Immunosuppression to Prevent Tumor Recurrence After Microwave Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation induces animmunosuppressive microenvironment in tumor‐draining lymph nodes. An albumin‐based lipoprotein nanosystem enables coordinated delivery of immunomodulators to tumor‐draining lymph nodes and residual tumors, reverses post‐ablation immunosuppression, suppresses residual tumor growth, and promotes durable antitumor ...

Intermittent Fasting Reduces Taurine Availability and Promotes Antitumor Immunity Through PERK Attenuation‐Associated Paraptosis‐Like Cell Death in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies reduced taurine availability as a mediator of intermittent fasting in colorectal cancer and shows that taurine interacts with GRP78 to maintain PERK abundance post‐transcriptionally. It further shows that taurine depletion destabilizes PERK, induces immunogenic paraptosis, remodels the tumor microenvironment toward a CD8+ T cell ...

Broad‐Spectrum, Cell Envelope‐Active Marinocyclin Antibiotics From a Coral‐Derived Bacterium Are Effective Against Colistin‐Resistant Bacteria

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Marinocyclins, polycationic macrocyclic depsipeptides, were discovered by genome mining from the marine coral‐derived bacterium Aquimarina megaterium. The compounds have broad‐spectrum activity against gram‐positive and gram‐negative ESKAPE bacteria.

People Counting and Positioning Using Low‐Resolution Infrared Images for FeFET‐Based In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low‐resolution infrared imaging is combined with a 28 nm FeFET IMC architecture to enable compact, energy‐efficient edge inference. MLC FeFET devices are experimentally characterized, and controlled multi‐level current accumulation is validated at crossbar array level.

Chinese Trade Competition and Rural Mexican Migration

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT China's accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001 reshaped global trade, reducing U.S. demand for Mexican manufactured goods and weakening Mexico's manufacturing employment. This study estimates how this trade‐induced decline affected migration and employment decisions among rural Mexicans.

Can Chemoradiotherapy Expand Immune Checkpoint Blockade Responsiveness in Mismatch Repair‐Proficient Rectal Cancer?

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) has transformed the treatment of mismatch repair‐deficient (dMMR) colorectal cancer but produces no meaningful benefit in advanced mismatch repair‐proficient (pMMR) disease. In the neoadjuvant setting, however, pathological responses have been reported in a subset of pMMR tumors, suggesting that clinical ...
