The Short-Period Photometric Variability of Be Stars [PDF]
The fact that some Be stars have periodic light vanations with time scales of the order of one day is well established (eg. Balona and Engelbrecht 1986). The cause of this variability is not yet understood. The explanation which seems to have gained the most acceptance is nonradial pulsation (NRP).

SX Phoenicis (SXP) variables are short-period pulsating stars that exhibit a period–luminosity (PL) relation. We derived the gri -band PL and extinction-free period–Wesenheit (PW) relations, as well as the period-color and reddening-free period-Q-index ...

Short-period variability in Be stars [PDF]
Summary A highly significant correlation is found between the projected rotational velocities and the photometric periods of Be stars. We show that this correlation may be readily understood if the photometric period is equated with the rotational period.

Short-Period Variable Stars in the M31 Halo [PDF]
We report the findings of a new search for RR Lyraes in an M31 halo field located 40 arcminutes from the nucleus of the galaxy along the minor axis. We detected 37 variable stars, of which 24 are classified as RR Lyraes and the others are ambiguous. Estimating a completeness fraction of ~24%, we calculate that there are approximately 100 RR Lyraes in ...

Anomalous Cepheids discovered in a sample of galactic short period Type II Cepheids [PDF]
We revisited the short period Type II Cepheids (T2Cs), called the BL Herculis (BLHs), in the Galactic Field to derive a homogeneous analysis of their Fourier parameters.

Variability in NGC 3201 Giant Stars
We present the analysis of 510 light curves in V and I bands of 255 giant stars in the globular cluster NGC 3201. Our aim is to expand the sample of new types of variables reported in a previous study. These variables show a short period ( P _V < 0.6 day)

An Evenly Spaced LSST Cadence for Rapidly Variable Stars
Stars exhibit a bewildering variety of rapidly variable behaviors ranging from explosive magnetic flares to stochastically changing accretion to periodic pulsations or rotation.

Short term period variable stars observed at OAUNI
We present the first scientific results of the program on short term period variable stars observed at OAUNI at the peruvian Andes. These results include good quality light curves of delta Scuti stars, rapidly oscillating stars along with eclipsing and cataclysmic binaries.
