Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Selective Ensemble Mean Technique for Tropical Cyclone Track Forecasts Using Multi-Model Ensembles

open access: yesTropical Cyclone Research and Review, 2015
: A selective ensemble mean technique for tropical cyclone (TC) track forecasts, which excludes from the ensemble those models that have large position errors at short lead times, was applied to a set of TC track forecasts produced by 11 operational ...

Evaluating template rescaling in short-term single-object tracking

open access: yes2015 12th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal Based Surveillance (AVSS), 2015
In recent years, short-term single-object tracking has emerged has a popular research topic, as it constitutes the core of more general tracking systems. Many such tracking methods are based on matching a part of the image with a template that is learnt online and represented by, for example, a correlation filter or a distribution field.

Rotary Velocity Spectra from Short Drifter Tracks

open access: yesJournal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology, 1998
Abstract The authors describe a method utilizing short-duration drifter tracks to compute rotary velocity amplitudes and phases for tidal frequency bands. These are compared to amplitudes and phases from a tidal model, revealing the regions where strong internal tides dominate the observed record or the times when inertial motions compete with the ...
