Transverse momentum and centrality dependence of dihadron correlations in Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN)=200 GeV: Jet-quenching and the response of partonic matter

open access: yes, 2007
Azimuthal angle \Delta\phi correlations are presented for charged hadrons from dijets for 0.4 < p_T < 10 GeV/c in Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 200 GeV. With increasing p_T, the away-side distribution evolves from a broad to a concave shape, then to a

10 Years Development of Potassium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Significant progress is made in PIBs over the past decade, but the improvements based on half‐cell testing, low mass loading, and low energy density are insufficient for practical applications. This review summarizes the challenges and strategies for PIBs, highlights the importance of further research focusing on full cells, and provides an analysis of

Ultrasound of the shoulder.

open access: yesMedical ultrasonography, 2012
Ultrasonography (US) is a helpful imaging tool in the evaluation of the musculoskeletal system. It has some advantages over the other imaging techniques, such as plain radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, represented by the non-invasiveness and multiplanar imaging capability, repeatability, lack of radiation burden, good ...

Glaphene: A Hybridization of 2D Silica Glass and Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
‘Glaphene’, a novel hybrid material combining 2D silica glass and graphene, is synthesized via a scalable liquid precursor‐based vapor‐phase growth. This study reveals interlayer hybridization beyond van der Waals interactions, leading to emergent semiconducting behavior.

SoK: Privacy Personalised -- Mapping Personal Attributes \& Preferences of Privacy Mechanisms for Shoulder Surfing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Shoulder surfing is a byproduct of smartphone use that enables bystanders to access personal information (such as text and photos) by making screen observations without consent. To mitigate this, several protection mechanisms have been proposed to protect user privacy. However, the mechanisms that users prefer remain unexplored.

Mechanical Resonant Sensing of Spin Texture Dynamics in a 2D Antiferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Detection of antiferromagnetic spin texture in a 2D magnetic crystal is achieved through nanomechanical resonators at radio frequencies. Sharp magnetic transitions that lead to abrupt changes in mechanical linear and nonlinear responses are assigned to antiferromagnetic domain motions.

Comparative Time-Series Analysis of Hip and Shoulder Rotation in Baseball Bat Swings [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This study focuses on the rotation of the hips and shoulders during a baseball bat swing, analyzing the time-series changes in rotational angles, rotational velocities, and axes using marker position data obtained from a motion capture system with 12 infrared cameras.
