Enhancing Graphite Nanoplatelet Dispersion in PP Composites via Chemical Pretreatment for Cost‐Effective Packaging Applications

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Polypropylene nanocomposites with untreated and pretreated graphite nanoplatelets (GnP) exhibited distinct reinforcement mechanisms. Untreated GnP enhanced stiffness and thermal stability through stacked structures, while pretreated GnP improved impact strength and flexibility at low temperatures via exfoliated morphologies.

Comparison of Surface Features of Ceramic and Ti‐Based Dental Implants

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), EarlyView.
The roughness values of ceramic implants are slightly higher than of the titanium machined sample and significantly lower than of sandblasted implants. The observed structures, along with the roughness values, could enhance the osseointegration of the 3D printed ceramic implants.

Evaluation of Banana Pseudostem Fibres for Packaging Material Development

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, EarlyView.
Composites were developed from banana pseudostem fibres, extracted from a thermomechanical method to produce pulp, which was subsequently hot‐pressed with gum arabic to form fibreboards intended as sustainable packaging material. ABSTRACT The present study investigated composites prepared from banana pseudostem fibres (BF) and gum arabic (GA), in ...

Non‐van der Waals Layered Molybdenum Sulfide Wires with Perpendicular Layer Stacking and Tunable Interlayer Domains

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A quasi‐layered (NH4)nMoSx·δH2O wire featuring longitudinal stacking and periodically exposed interlayer regions is synthesized under ambient conditions. Stabilized by ammonium and water, this structure enables reversible interlayer spacing modulation while maintaining crystallinity.
