Attention is drawn to the not infrequent occurrence of downward subluxation of the shoulder joint accompanying fractures of the upper end of the humerus. 2. Such cases fall into early or late groups according to the time of onset of the subluxation. 3. The subluxation often disappears spontaneously, but it may persist and cause disability.
