A Portable and Dual‐Button Microneedle Device Enables Intelligent Multimodal Laser Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A portable and dual‐button microneedle device enables rapid interstitial fluid sampling. Coupled with multimodal laser sensing and AI‐assisted data processing, the platform enables simultaneous molecular and elemental analysis for minimally invasive and multiplexed health assessment toward point‐of‐care diagnostics.

Are there any Differences between the Shoulder-Arm Sling and Figure-of-Eight Bandage in the Conservative Treatment of Paediatric Clavicle Fractures?

open access: yesJournal of Children's Orthopaedics, 2021
Purpose Clavicle fractures are treated conservatively in the paediatric age group, except in rare types of fractures. We investigated whether there was a difference between using shoulder-arm sling and figure-of-eight bandage in this age group.

W‐N‐C Tandem Catalytic Centers Mediating Efficient Charge Transfer for the Enhanced Radical‐Path U(VI) Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work constructed a tandem W−N−C center to simultaneously achieve the regulation of reaction pathways and optimization of charge separation efficiency. The Lewis‐acidic W6+ sites activated O2 to generate O2−$O_2^ - $, with enhanced charge separation via electronic modulation, steering U(VI) reduction down an efficient radical pathway.

Conservative treatment of proximal humeral fractures by maintaining neutral rotation in elderly patients

open access: yesFujita Medical Journal, 2018
Objectives: Proximal humeral fractures are common fractures in elderly patients. In some cases, operative treatment is difficult in elderly patients because of severe osteoporosis.

Spontaneous scapular spine fracture related to rotator cuff pathology: a report of two cases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Spontaneous fractures of the scapula are rare, especially those involving the scapular spine. There are only a few case reports addressing this topic. Two cases are presented of spontaneous scapular spine fractures in patients with cuff-tear arthropathy.

Engineering Na‐Rich P2‐Type Layered Oxides Through Li/Ti Dual Doping for Oxygen Redox Activation and Superior Structural Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty for Acute Proximal Humeral Fractures in the Geriatric Patient

open access: yesGeriatric Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation, 2011
Proximal humeral fractures are frequently encountered in the elderly population. While the majority of these fractures can be managed nonoperatively, 2-, 3-, and 4-part fractures, head splitting, and complex fracture dislocations typically require ...

Shoulder arthroplasty for proximal humerus fractures in the elderly: The path from Neer to Grammont

open access: yesOrthopedic Reviews, 2020
Shoulder replacement is indicated for the surgical treatment of proximal humeral fractures in elderly patients, when severe comminution and osteoporosis jeopardize the chances of success of any fixation technique. Two different implants are available for
