FastCat: Autonomous Discovery of Multielement Layered Double Hydroxide Alloy Catalysts for Alkaline Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐guided self‐driving laboratory screened over 500 nickel‐based layered double‐hydroxide catalysts for alkaline oxygen evolution. Out of the eight metals, the robot uncovered a quaternary Ni–Fe–Cr–Co catalysts requiring only 231 mV overpotential to reach 20 mA cm−2.

Shoulder instability: classification and methods of clinical examination

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2020
The shoulder is a complex joint whose stability relies on both dynamic and static factors. Dysfunction of one of these components gives rise to shoulder problems.

Open Posterior Capsular Reconstruction Using Acellular Dermal Allograft

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques
Posterior shoulder instability accounts for a minority of shoulder instability cases. There is a lack of data and treatment algorithms compared to anterior shoulder instability; moreover, many of the proposed techniques focus on bony reconstruction.

Arthroscopic Findings After Traumatic Shoulder Instability in Patients Older Than 35 Years

open access: yesOrthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine, 2015
Background: Shoulder instability in the older patient traditionally has received less attention in the literature than in the younger patient population.

A High‐Precision Dynamic Movement Recognition Algorithm Using Multimodal Biological Signals for Human–Machine Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
This article describes a multimodal fusion data acquisition and processing system about electromyography for dynamic movement recognition and bioelectrical impedance for key posture recognition. In addition, a new dynamic–static fusion algorithm strategy is designed.

Photocaged Oxytocin and Vasopressin Probes to Decipher Neuropeptide Signalling With High Spatiotemporal Resolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Novel and biocompatible photoactivatable oxytocin and vasopressin probes, utilising state‐of‐the‐art photocages, remain inactive in the dark. Light exposure facilitates rapid spatiotemporal receptor activation and phospholipase C (PLC)‐mediated downstream signalling. Figure created in https://BioRender.com.

Contrast of LiFeAs with isostructural, isoelectronic, and non-superconducting MgFeGe

open access: yes, 2013
Stoichiometric LiFeAs at ambient pressure is an 18 K superconductor while isoelectronic MgFeGe is not, despite their extremely similar electronic structures.

Axillary Arch (Of Langer): Incidence, Innervation, Importance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The present study was planned to find out the incidence of accessory muscle arches in the axilla of 68 upper limb (38 right and 30 left) dissections. Langer’s arch was observed in one right limb out of the 68 limbs, total incidence was 1.47%.

Enhanced Rheological and Filtration Performance of Drilling Fluids Using Fe3O4/Saponin/Cu(II) Nanocomposites: Synthesis, Characterization, and Application

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drilling fluids used in high‐performance well operations often struggle to maintain rheological stability, colloidal dispersion, and filtration control under harsh downhole conditions. This study engineered a multifunctional Fe3O4@Saponin/Cu(II) nanocomposite to address these challenges.

Supercritical Carbon Dioxide‐Assisted Interface Formation of LaAlO3/SrTiO3 for Room‐Temperature Ferromagnetism

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This work pioneers a non‐invasive route for strain engineering of quantum states at complex oxide interfaces, making use of supercritical CO2 as a tunable “strain field” to induce room‐temperature ferromagnetism in 3D LaAlO3/SrTiO3 composites. Structural and chemical analyses confirm the magnetism is strictly interfacial and driven by lattice tensile ...
