Cleavage and Polyadenylation Specificity Factor Subunit 5 Regulates Pulmonary Artery Smooth Muscle Expansion and Hypoxic Response

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
Increased miR‐3163 targets NUDT21, reducing CPSF5 levels and driving APA dysregulation. This results in 3′UTR shortening of CBFB, which stabilizes RUNX1 and promotes smooth muscle proliferation. PTGER3, is also shortened amplifying hypoxia‐induced RVSP. Together, these pathways contribute to vascular remodeling in PH. Image Created in https://BioRender.

U-Pb zircon geochronology of rocks from west Central Sulawesi, Indonesia: Extension-related metamorphism and magmatism during the early stages of mountain building [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Sulawesi has generally been interpreted as the product of convergence in the Cretaceous and Cenozoic, and high mountains in west Central Sulawesi have been considered the product of magmatism and metamorphism related to Neogene collision.

Leveraging Viscosity to Unlock the Osteogenic Potential of BMP‐2 Mimetic DWIVA

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 11, 20 February 2026.
Dynamic interfaces based on supported lipid bilayers demonstrate that the osteogenic potential of the BMP‐2 mimetic DWIVA can be harnessed by modulating substrate viscosity. This work highlights that the viscous properties of the cellular microenvironment play a crucial role in the mechanosensitive regulation of growth factor activity.

The link between volcanism and plutonism in epizonal magma systems; high-precision U–Pb zircon geochronology from the Organ Mountains caldera and batholith, New Mexico [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The Organ Mountains caldera and batholith expose the volcanic and epizonal plutonic record of an Eocene caldera complex. The caldera and batholith are well exposed, and extensive previous mapping and geochemical analyses have suggested a clear link ...

Key drivers of at‐vessel mortality in demersal sharks

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Chondrichthyans are highly vulnerable to fisheries overexploitation, and postcapture mortality poses a significant threat to most species. Global bycatch mitigation guidelines recommend adopting hierarchical decision‐making approaches tailored to species‐specific vulnerabilities and socioeconomic and regulatory contexts.

Visible Light Induced DLP‐Printed Oxygen‐Releasing TPMS Scaffolds Mitigate Early Hypoxia in Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 3, 19 January 2026.
Visible light‐induced digital light processing 3D printed Primitive‐triply periodic minimal surface hydrogels embed CaO2–Si core–shell nanoparticles to deliver short‐term oxygen during the avascular window. The scaffolds maintain cytocompatibility, elevate osteopontin in vitro, and enhance calvarial defect repair in vivo without toxicity.

Caracterització del camp de leucogranits aplítics i pegmatítics a l'escata paleozoica del sector Matadepera - Castellar del Vallès [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Paleozoic rocks overriding the Ebro Basin materials crop out in a narrow belt at the NE of the Iberian Peninsula. The Escata del sector Matadepera - Castellar del Vallès is one of the three thrust sheets that conform this belt.
