SHRIMP U-Pb Geochronology of the Socorro Batholith and implications for the Neoproterozoic evolution in SE Brazil

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Geology
: The Socorro Batholith is one of the most expressive granite manifestations associated with the Neoproterozoic evolution in SE Brazil, occupying large areas (~1,200 km 2 ) in the southern portion of the Socorro-Guaxupé Nappe.

Drainage Pattern Changes in Southeastern Tibet Inferred from Eocene–Modern Sediment Provenance of the Yanyuan Basin

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 37, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
Deep gorges with abrupt river elbows and high‐elevation, low‐relief interfluves containing fluvial sedimentary rocks characterize southeastern Tibet. This transient landscape reflects Eocene to present drainage divide migrations and river captures, reshaping catchment boundaries through episodic exchanges of drainage area between neighboring basins ...

Physicochemical Attributes of Parental Magma in Collisional Porphyry Copper Systems; Using Biotite Chemistry, Case Study: Chahfiruzeh Porphyry Copper Deposit

open access: yesJournal of Economic Geology, 2019
Introduction Almost all of the well-known porphyry copper deposits in Iran occur within the Kerman Cenozoic magmatic arc (KCMA) (Fig 1) in the southeastern part of Cenozoic Urumieh–Dokhtar magmatic belt (Hassanpour et al., 2015). The Miocene Chahfiruzeh

Tectonic evolution of the Dom Feliciano Belt in Southern Brazil : geological relationships and U-Pb geochronology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016

Precambrian Greenstone Belts of North Baffin Island, Canadian Arctic: Geochronological Constraints on Magmatism and Stratigraphy in the Rae Craton

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 26, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Supracrustal greenstone belts of the Rae craton of north Baffin Island have been historically attributed to the Mary River Group (MRG), a key tectonostratigraphic unit of economic significance. Best‐preserved exposures of supracrustal rocks occur within the Eqe Bay Greenstone Belt.

Precise Sm-Nd and U-Pb isotopic dating of the supergiant Shizhuyuan polymetallic deposit and its host granite, SE China [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The supergiant Shizhuyuan W-Sn-Bi-Mo deposit is hosted by the Qianlishan granite, a small, highly fractionated granitic pluton (~10 km2) with multiple phases of intrusions within the Early Yanshanian granitoid province of SE China.

1.38 Ga Four‐Layer Tuff Marker Horizon in North China black Shales as a Chronostratigraphic Boundary for the Pre‐Ediacaran Geological Timescale

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 17, 16 September 2025.
Abstract Boundaries in the Phanerozoic chronostratigraphic scale are mainly precisely defined and dated, and many correspond to environmental catastrophes induced by the emplacement of LIPs. The pre‐Ediacaran geological timescale is currently subdivided by approximate absolute ages.

Pan-African metamorphic and magmatic rocks of the Khanka Massif, NE China: Further evidence regarding their affinity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The Khanka Massif is a crustal block located along the eastern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) and bordered to the east by Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous circum-Pacific accretionary complexes of the Eastern Asian continental margin.

Zircon (Re)crystallization During Metamorphism: Zircon Paragenesis in the Papua New Guinea Coesite Eclogite Revisited

open access: yesJournal of Metamorphic Geology, Volume 43, Issue 7, Page 663-680, September 2025.
ABSTRACT The youngest known ultrahigh‐pressure (UHP) eclogite from Tumagabuna Island, a small island of the D'Entrecasteaux Islands chain in Papua New Guinea, exhibits zircon U–Pb age variations spanning a few million years. This age variation complicates the interpretation of the evolution of this high and ultrahigh‐pressure ([U]HP) terrane.
