Aggregation‐Induced Emission Molecular Design for Mitigating Non‐Radiative Energy Loss in Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Aggregation‐induced emission strategy is first used to overcome aggregation‐caused quenching in Y‐series acceptors. By integrating tetraphenylethylene, the dTPE exhibits three‐fold PLQY enhancement and significantly suppressed non‐radiative energy loss. An ultra‐low Eloss of 0.130 eV and a record VOC of 0.93 V are achieved, resulting in a PCE over 20.5%

Field‐Free, Deterministic Giant Spin‐Orbit Torque Switching of 1.3 T Perpendicular Magnetization With Symmetry‐Lifted Topological Surface States

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We show a giant, bias‐field free, deterministic, spin‐orbit‐torque switching of perpendicular hard magnets with HC over 1.3 T. By combining the three‐fold 3m symmetry from topological insulator surface states with the rectangular mm2 symmetry from the 2 x 1 intercalation in Cr3Te4, the interface symmetry is significantly reduced into a unidirectional m

Stable isotope metabolomics of pulmonary artery smooth muscle and endothelial cells in pulmonary hypertension and with TGF-beta treatment. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Altered metabolism in pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) and endothelial cells (PAECs) contributes to the pathology of pulmonary hypertension (PH), but changes in substrate uptake and how substrates are utilized have not been fully ...

3D Printing of Highly Electrically Conductive Zinc for Sustainable Electronics Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
A 3D printable zinc ink system with active zinc particles in a shellac matrix is demonstrated. The results show high conductivity, stable performance of printed structures under varying humidity conditions, and promising application in disposable water‐activated batteries. This technology combining digital material assembly, reliable operation, and non‐

Controlling hysteresis in superconducting constrictions with a resistive shunt

open access: yes, 2015
We demonstrate control of the thermal hysteresis in superconducting constrictions by adding a resistive shunt. In order to prevent thermal relaxation oscillations, the shunt resistor is placed in close vicinity of the constriction, making the inductive ...
