New Model Predictive & Algorithm DPC based Shunt Active Power Filters (SAPFs)
2021 1st International Conference on Power Electronics and Energy (ICPEE), 2021The proliferated use of the non-linear loads in the household and industries are distorting the power quality of the grid significantly. The use of filters brings about an improvement in the of the grid power quality. The active filters have been preferred from the passive filters as they are free from resonance, tuning difficulty, and need for the ...

IECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021
This paper presents a direct non-linear based predictive control for a single-phase Shunt Active Power Filter nine-level Packed E-Cell inverter (SAPF-PEC9). The proposed control based on a Finite Set Model Predictive Control (FS-MPC) has been designed to compensate the reactive power requested by the nonlinear load at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC).

Now-a-days use of nonlinear loads in industries has been increased tremendously which are the source of harmonic currents to be injected in supply system. These harmonics creates power quality issue. The most popular solution to eliminate these harmonics is Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) because SAPF can eliminate harmonics easily, overcome voltage ...

Hardware in the loop simulation of Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) utilizing RTDS and dSPACE
2017 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference (COBEP), 2017This paper deals with the integration of a Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) to the electric power grid and a non-linear load (typically rectifier). The intention is testing the control system by Hardware In the Loop (HIL) simulation under conditions which are closer to the SAPF and the electric power grid reality.
